John DeMers and Rhonda Findley, hosts of Delicious Mischief food and wine radio shows in Houston and
New Orleans, are compiling a cookbook titled "The 100 Greatest New Orleans Recipes of All Time," to be
published by Acadian House. This publisher has enjoyed years of success with "The 100 Greatest Cajun Recipes
of All Time," so the New Orleans book is a natural.
John and Rhonda invite all their listeners and readers to submit their best-ever New Orleans recipes for
possible inclusion in the cookbook. All recipes selected will be credited, so if a dish is really your
Aunt Martha's or your Uncle Gus', be sure to say so. Not all recipes submitted can be selected for the
book, but every one will be considered.
As for format, each recipe needs to follow standard format: starting with a list of all ingredients in order
of their use, measured in cups, tablespoons and teaspoons, and leading into a clear and thorough account of
the procedure. (If Aunt Martha or Uncle Gus left something to be desired as recipe writers, please do your
best to recreate the dish as you understood and enjoyed it.)
To submit a recipe, simply fill out the form below with your information, then type in the recipe you are
submitting. You are welcome to submit more than one, but with only 100 recipes from 300 years of New
Orleans cooking in the book, only one from each great cook can be used. Thank you.
(Submission of recipe grants permission to publish, if selected, in "The 100 Greatest New Orleans Recipes of All Time.)
